Obituary
Dr. Lucy Hobbs Taylor [1833-1910 age 77] was the first woman in America to graduate from a dental college and the first woman dentist in Kansas. Dr. Taylor was among the oldest settlers in Lawrence, coming here with her husband, James M. Taylor on December 1, 1867.
