Obituary
Wilson Shannon was an attorney, served one term in U.S. House of Representatives and was the 14th and 16th governor of Ohio. He was the second territorial governor of Kansas. He was the governor when the "Sacking of Lawrence" by a pro-slavery army in May 1856 occurred.
